First Ever Blog

Always unconsciously swore I'd never make one of these. Even as much of a tech-heavy person as I am, I never thought I'd find the urge to make myself a blog. In all honesty, the only reason I made a blog now was after seeing a presentation in TED Talks, about a game designer who wants to use video games and the "virtuoso" talents of today's gamers, to change the world in a noticeable way. Here's the link. It really is a wondrous proposal.

After seeing this presentation, I looked into Evoke, one of the games designed by the Institute of the Future, only to disappointingly shot down by a notice that the game acts in seasons. The first season began in March 2010 and ended in May 2010. The next season, unfortunately, does not begin until February 2011. Alas, it appears I will not earn Certified EVOKE Social Innovator status until next year at the earliest. Hopefully, they will make the seasons more regular soon, although I'm sure they are currently constrained by the awards they offer and the lack off coverage on the subject.
